"I, Filum Star/I Stand Up"

Dave brings his incredibly funny and heartwarming story to Leeds Playhouse.

"I, Filum Star/I Stand Up" is Dave's incredible journey from bricklayer, to stand up, to film star at the age of 60. From his first meeting with legendary film director, Ken Loach, to the shooting of "I, Daniel Blake" in Newcastle, to the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival and the British Academy Awards in London.

Going on to star in films with such acting greats as Stephen Graham and Alison Steadman, and in much loved hit films "Fisherman's Friends" and the follow up "Fisherman's Friends: One and All" - this will be a must-see evening of laughs for those who believe you're never too old to become a Filum Star!

Fun fact!!

Dave applied for a licence to run donkey rides a few years ago on Whitley Bay beach.  Sadly, due to bureaucracy, Dave's donkey ride dream did not materialise and Whitley Bay beach remains donkey free to this day.
