Dave appeared on the West End stage with movie star, Christian Slater in One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest. He once said to Christian Slater “I just want to say, Christian, I really loved the movie Minority Report.” To which Christian answered “I wasn't in Minority Report” To which Dave answered “I know, I just wanted to say I really loved it”. They became great buddies after that.
