Dave is pleased to announce he has been nominated for Best Actor in a leading role at the 2024 British Short Film Awards. Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony in London in January 2025.

Making Up is set in the East End of London in the gritty, brazen drag queen scene of the 80s.
Ted (Dave Johns) is estranged from his daughter Cassandra (Jessica Ellerby). After being diagnosed with a hereditary illness, Ted is now desperate to make contact with the daughter he hasn't seen since she was a child and make up for lost time.
Dave fell asleep at a show of the Pink Floyd tour of Dark Side of the Moon in the early 70s.
