Dave Johns celebrated 30 years as a stand up comic in March 2020.
"I can't believe its been thirty years since I first started doing stand up at the Comedy Cafe at the Tyne Theatre and Opera House on Westgate Road in Newcastle. What an amazing club that was - Ross Noble played his first gigs there as a fourteen year old. Steve Coogan, Frank Skinner, Jo Brand, Jack Dee, Harry Hill, Sean Lock and Alan Davies all played the Cafe, to name but a few. We had some unforgettable nights down there.
During that thirty years I've performed stand up all over the world, and it truly is for me the best job on the planet".
To celebrate, Dave is to perform a special one off show at The Stand Comedy Club in Newcastle on the 1st March 2020.
