Dave has been filming in Belgium this Spring, in a new film directed by David Lambert. "Les Tortues" will see Dave take on the role of an English ex-pat living in Brussels for the past 20 years.
Henri, an ex-cop (played by award winning Belgian actor, Olivier Gourmet).
Thom, ex drag queen (played by Dave Johns)
Henri and Thom are married and living together in their Brussels apartment. When Henri retires from his job on the Belgian police force, things aren't as idyllic as they both hoped life would be.
"Les Tortues" is a beautifully observed, darkly funny, tender and loving portrayal of a couples' mis-communication.
Dave had to learn French from scratch for the role of Thom.
Principal photography starts in April 2022.
